Place a "Hold" on the Materials You Want! Can't wait to read the next Tom Clancy thriller? Looking for an annotated copy of Catch-22 but don't want to drive to Ontario County to pick it up? Interested in showing a video to your church group without paying the fee for public performance rights? The Arcade Free Library can help! Now you can request any item owned by our library or by any of the other 41 libraries in the Pioneer Library System, right from your home computer!
Enter your library card barcode number and your Personal Identification Number (PIN) when prompted, choose to pick the item up at the Arcade Free Library, and we'll call you when your item arrives. We'll hold your item(s) for up to two weeks. If you are making several hold requests at once, login in at http://owwl.pls-net.org (using barcode number and PIN) and begin your search for items. This way you won't need to type in your identification numbers more than once. A note about PINs - a patron must visit the library in person to receive a PIN. We cannot give PINs over the phone or through email for confidentiality reasons. Once you're logged-on at the OWWL web page, you may change your PIN to something more familiar.
Standard three week loan period applies to most books and audiobooks borrowed through the OWWL Holds system or ILL; videos and DVDs from other libraries are typically loaned for one week. Please be aware that renewals on Holds and ILL materials will vary, depending on policies of the loaning library. Patrons are responsible for returning materials on time and in good condition. Fines and service charges will be applied to a patrons' account for lost or damaged materials |
